Goodbye, LOST
Over the weekend, before watching the LOST finale, I watched a few older episodes and started sketching some of the characters. I had done this before with mixed results. Its my small way of sending off my geekiest obsession of the last 6 years. The show ended last night (to mixed reaction). Personally, I thought it was beautiful and by the end, I was as sad as Hurley looks down there. For die-hard fans of the show, it wasn't just another television program, it was an experience that blended mystery, character, humor, drama, theology, philosophy, pop culture and emotion into one magnificent conglomeration and doled it out in one hour increments. The time in between episodes was filled with anticipation and the span between seasons was maddening, but we always knew LOST would return eventually. Alas, all good things must come to an end. And end it did. Thanks for pushing the boundaries of television and for one hell of an experience. Namaste.
